The Transporter is the most leased van in the specialist trades market. Our compact cage bolts in without touching the bodywork — so your tools are secured today and the van goes back unmarked at the end of the contract.
The VW Transporter T6 and T6.1 are commonly acquired on lease, PCP, or contract hire agreements — particularly by electricians, telecoms engineers, and broadband contractors who need a reliable, professional-looking vehicle. Drilling holes or making any permanent changes to the floor or bodywork risks significant penalty charges at handback.
Our compact cage uses only the Transporter's existing anchor points and floor hardware. When the lease ends, the cage unbolts in minutes and the van is returned in factory condition. You then bolt the cage straight into your next T6.1 — it's designed to be transferable.
The compact cage's 1,180mm arch-to-arch width is the correct spec for the Transporter's load bay width. It sits neatly between the wheel arches without forcing or modification.
The T6's clean load bay design makes installation particularly straightforward. Existing anchor points are well-positioned and easily accessible.
Open the Transporter's rear doors fully. The T6 has a clean, unobstructed rear aperture that makes sliding cage panels in without damage to the door seals straightforward and hassle-free.
The compact cage sections slide in through the rear and assemble inside the T6's load bay. Position the cage against the bulkhead. The 1,800mm length leaves a useful loading area at the rear for day-to-day equipment access.
The Transporter's factory floor lashing rails and anchor points receive the cage bolts. Nothing new is drilled, cut, or bonded. The load bay floor remains completely unaltered — essential for any vehicle on a lease or PCP agreement.
The sliding door panel fits into the T6's side door frame without drilling. It's a secure, clean fit that seals off side access to the cage area and completes the security envelope around your tools.
All fixings are checked and the cage is tested for rigidity. Lock tested, side panel confirmed secure. The Transporter looks exactly as it did before — nothing to see from outside except a more secure van.
Specified to suit the VW Transporter T6 and T6.1 load bay. All-steel, powder-coat finish.
