One of the most popular vans on UK trade plates — and one of the most frequently broken into. Our compact cage is specifically designed for the Trafic 2014+ load bay and fits without a single drill hole.
The Renault Trafic shares its platform with the Vauxhall Vivaro and Nissan NV300, so they all benefit from the same cage specification. It's one of the most stolen compact vans in the UK — electricians and heating engineers who leave a Trafic unattended on a job are at real risk.
Our side door panel is specifically designed for the Trafic 2014+ sliding door frame. This matters because the sliding door is often the weakest point — a cage that doesn't cover the side door leaves a significant gap in your security. Our panel closes that gap without any drilling or modification to the door frame.
Both the L1 short-wheelbase and L2 long-wheelbase Trafic are covered by the same compact cage specification. If you're unsure which you have, just check the wheelbase measurement or call us.
The Trafic's load bay is a straightforward installation. The compact cage panels are lighter and more manageable than the mid, making it a comfortable solo fit if needed.
Open the Trafic's rear doors to give full access to the load bay. The Trafic's rear opening is well-proportioned for feeding the compact cage sections in cleanly — no awkward angles or forcing required.
Compact cage sections are slid in through the rear aperture and assembled inside. The cage is positioned against the Trafic's bulkhead, sitting within the load zone close to the cab rather than blocking the rear loading area.
The Renault Trafic has load lashing points built into the floor. The cage bolts directly to these with no drilling required at any point. The entire floor surface is left completely undisturbed.
The side panel is designed specifically for the 2014+ Trafic's sliding door frame geometry. It fits into the aperture without drilling and seals off the side access to the cage. A precise fit that covers this commonly overlooked entry point.
Final bolt check, lock test, side panel confirmed secure. The Trafic is ready for the day — tools locked down, van completely unmodified. The whole process takes under 30 minutes from opening the rear doors to driving away.
