The Relay's large load bay takes a mid cage — the same platform as the Peugeot Boxer and Fiat Ducato, and the same secure, bolt-in installation. No drilling, no permanent mods, fitted in under 30 minutes.
The Citroën Relay is built on the same platform as the Fiat Ducato and Peugeot Boxer — and the mid cage covers all three. The deep load bay shared by this platform family requires 2,500mm of cage length to provide full bulkhead-to-door coverage. Anything shorter leaves too much of the bay unprotected.
Tradespeople using the Relay as a daily work vehicle carry substantial tool sets that represent a significant financial investment. A mid cage that locks across the bulkhead zone makes a serious difference to the risk profile — thieves looking for a quick smash-and-grab will move on from a van with a steel cage in place.
The cage is entirely reversible. It unbolts cleanly using the same factory points that were used to fit it. No trace of any installation remains when it's removed — making it fully compatible with any lease, finance, or warranty arrangement on the Relay.
The Relay's tall load bay and wide rear doors make the mid cage installation comfortable and quick for two fitters working together.
Open the Citroën Relay's rear barn doors to their fullest extent. The Relay's large rear aperture — one of the benefits of the Ducato/Boxer/Relay platform — makes loading the mid cage panels in a straightforward two-person task.
Cage sections are fed through the rear opening and assembled inside the Relay's load bay. The Relay's flat, clean load floor provides a good working surface for positioning the cage accurately against the bulkhead.
Factory lashing rings and anchor points in the Relay's floor take the cage bolts directly. No new holes are drilled at any point in the process. The load bay floor remains completely unmodified and in its factory state.
The sliding door panel is secured into the Relay's side door frame. It provides coverage on the side without requiring any drilling into the door structure. A clean finish that seals off the final access point to the secured zone.
All bolts confirmed tight, cage lock tested, side panel verified. Under 30 minutes and the Relay is back in service with full tool security in place. No modifications, no marks, nothing to see from outside.
